Nick's Family Cafe

Great service. Great food. Great atmosphere. Reminds me of what almost every small town USA has, the local mom and pop diner. The older gentleman who was in the back cooking with what appeared to be his family, interacted with the normal return customers when they cashed out through the server window from the kitchen. Amazing portions too. If you leave hungry, it’s on you. I ordered the country scrambler covered in sausage gravy. They do not skimp out on anything here.

I love this diner! I've been coming here for years whenever I'm passing through Toledo. The portions are huge so plan on taking half of your meal home with you! The waitresses are always two steps ahead of the game and it's so decently priced you wonder how they're still thriving. I'm actually really surprised Nick's Cafe hasn't been an episode of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. They've been serving up delicious food for 44 years. Highly recommend!

First off - I am an especially picky eater. So for me to get my meal and keep saying throughout the meal, and then return to our hotel, share my Facebook post, and tell both employees and a customer about Nick's Cafe; that my meal was fantastic! I mean really fantastic! The Gyro Sandwich with hand cut fries were a special today for $13.99. There was so much food that I could have shared it with my husband.

Been here a few times and agree with everyone that the portions are huge! HOWEVER! be prepared if you ask for a box to take your leftovers home. Was shocked to see my husband and I were charged 50¢ for 2 to go boxes. I know 50 cents isn't a big deal to some but when places keep nickle and diming us, it adds up quick! We've NEVER been charged for boxes at any other restaurant. If they had been like 6 cent charges or something, I could understand it but they're definitely making a profit at 25 cents a piece! Very disappointed a restaurant would charge such a thing!

First time ever dining in. Sharable, large portions. Spinach Pie was good. Chicken Gyro - chicken was dry and pita it was wrapped in was stale. Wouldn’t order that again. Interior could use updating. Service was great. We were in and out quickly.

The cheeseburger and Ruben platter was absolutely amazing. You get so much food. The coleslaw was absolutely amazing also. If you haven’t dined here yet you absolutely need too. We will be coming back to try another platter and the grape leafs. I can’t wait.

Nick's was a good time. The plates are large portions, but WHATEVER you do, don't ask for changes on your plate, This is how ya gonna get it. Depending on your personality each person draws their own mindset about that. I ordered the steak medium Rare, it could use a bit more flavor, but it was tender. At this time I forget the names of the other plates but they were good and we had leftovers.

First time visiting this place while in town for a wedding. The food was amazing and you get A LOT so make sure you’re hungry when you go or be prepared to take some home! The service was also amazing! Even though they were pretty busy when we went, we never had to ask for anything from our waitress, she was on top of it! Very impressed with this little cafe and will definitely go again!! Highly recommend!!
